Meet the Family Behind the Lofton, The Smith’s

Josh, Amanda, Ethan, & Brody, are the owners and family of The Lofton Wedding Venue.

When we aren’t working, or the kids aren’t in school you can find us usually outdoors getting into something. We enjoy Alabama football and ANYTHING WATER (beach, lake, river, pool, you name it!) The boys play baseball, so we spend a lot our evenings at the baseball field.

Our Expertise & Venue History

  • Amanda Smith graduated from Le Cordon Bleu, Orlando Culinary Academy. Since then she has worked for Multi-Million Dollar catering services and Restaurants in preparation of providing excellence in hospitality and remarkable food.

    She has worked side by side with personal and Executive Chefs from Orlando, Florida to North Alabama building her own style, flavor, and creativity.

    ​In April of 2011 she created and designed her own Catering Mobile Kitchen and founded Endless Catering to advance and provide extraordinary services for unique occasions just for you.

    ​In May of 2012 she then expanded and added a 2500 sq ft kitchen to Endless Catering to be able to take on larger volumes and in house events.

    In August of 2015 she expanded again with the addition of Whistle Hollow, a wedding venue in Ardmore, TN. In Spring 2020 Whistle Hollow had a complete remodel and added an additional 4,000 sq ft onto the venue (total 8,500 sq ft) and an additional 1,000 sq ft inventory room to make your All-Inclusive packages even better. 

  • In September of 2022 Amanda sold both her Endless Catering & Whistle Hollow business for some much-needed family time.

  • Welcome to The Lofton! We’re so excited to share our new vision with you!

    Although the Endless Catering Business & Whistle Hollow business were sold in September 2022, Amanda has owned The Lofton Property (Formerly Whistle Hollow) now for just over 8 years and will still continue to offer her catering services through The Lofton.

    Things didn’t quite work out as planned and that’s ok! Our family is excited to take back the business side of things with a fresh new start!

    We not only get to share our beautiful property with you for your special day or event, but we get to share our fresh new start and vision.

    We have a lot in store starting with a name change, longer venue rental, and lodging.

    NAME CHANGE

    THE LOFTON- a little bit of our street name and little bit of meaning. (Glorious)

    VENUE RENTAL CHANGES

    With these new changes we are able to better serve our clients by offering a relaxed weekend setting. Although we still offer a one-day rental we now offer a weekend rental from Thursday-Sunday with the option to add on our private lodging. Along with an all-inclusive package and still offering Amanda’s great catering services on site.

    LODGING CHANGES

    Lodging for the weekend to stay on the comfort of the property all weekend long.

    Our lodging name ties in with our venue name. “Serenity”. We truly feel like when you step into our property it gives you all the feel of calm, peaceful, quiet, glorious, and truly breathtaking!

Our team is always on top of things doing whatever it takes to get the job done. We are always growing but most of the team has been with The Lofton a minimum of three years. We have such a system in place, that we hear so often from clients and vendors “you have such a well-oiled machine” We love it!

They are the backbone of all our events. We couldn’t do it without them!
